FABRIC DRAPE COEFFICIENT DC—
CONDITIONED TEXTILE TELEMETRY (20 °C, 65% RH)

Ready to sample with Stiffness Parameter = 1.5 mN·m.

1.5 mN·m
Conditioned per ISO 139 standard atmosphere (20.0 °C, 65.0% RH).

Adjust Stiffness Parameter, then execute textile test acquisition.

Textile measurements are captured using precision transducers and 64-bit IEEE 754 floating-point logging under standard temperature and humidity. Residuals reflect ordinary least-squares regression across successive observations. Continuous data structures support comprehensive fiber, yarn, and fabric structural evaluation.

Textile engineering continuum and boundary limits

All fiber bundles, yarns, and fabric specimens are evaluated under standardized pre-tension and standard atmosphere (20 °C, 65% RH per ISO 139). Linear constitutive models reflect small-strain elasticity and uniform dye diffusion kinetics.

FOLLOW THE METHOD

A reason behind every step.

Quantify the three-dimensional drapability, circular drape coefficient (DC%), and shadow node count of apparel fabrics using digital Cusick drape meter image analysis. Standardized parameter settings: 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 mN·m.

  1. Specimen Conditioning & Atmospheric Equilibration: Condition all textile test specimens in the standard conditioning room at 20.0 ± 2.0 °C and 65.0 ± 4.0% relative humidity for a minimum of 24 hours per ISO 139.
  2. Visual Inspection & Apparatus Zero Tare: Inspect all mechanical grips, pneumatic clamps, optical mirrors, and electronic load cells. Execute zero tare balance on digital indicators and calibrate displacement gauges.
  3. Initial Gauge Alignment & Clamping Pre-Tension: Mount the specimen securely between jaws or on the test platform. Apply standardized pre-tension to eliminate slack and align the stiffness parameter with the primary zero datum.
  4. Systematic Parameter Variation & Acquisition: Increment the stiffness parameter systematically across the designated range (0.5 to 3.0 mN·m), permitting full mechanical or chemical stabilization at each test increment.
  5. Multi-Sensor Telemetry & Signal Logging: Record the primary dependent variable (Fabric Drape Coefficient DC) alongside auxiliary channel telemetry. Verify linear proportionality and signal stability before advancing.
  6. Controlled De-Energization & Data Archival: Release all mechanical clamping loads smoothly to zero, de-energize primary drives, secure moving linkages, and export all digital telemetry observations to the persistent laboratory notebook.
